I want to meet Edmontonians right where they live. The reality is that not everyone has the time or ability to come downtown and speak at formal Council meetings. The Mayorthon is about bringing municipal leadership directly into our neighborhoods. Whether folks drop in for a quick ten-minute stop, join us for a single day, or trek the full three days, it is a relaxed, active way to share thoughts directly with us. Councillors Paquette, Janz, and Salvador will also be walking in their respective wards to listen to what residents have to say.

Our local entrepreneurs and small business owners are a core part  of Edmonton’s economy. By visiting  local shops and storefronts along the route, we are having direct, real-world conversations with owners about what they need to succeed. Visiting these businesses face-to-face gives us a much clearer understanding of the practical ways City Hall can support them.

Every Edmontonian, regardless of their postal code, deserves accessible, convenient, and reliable public spaces. Walking through our neighborhood streets gives us a firsthand look at the work being done to revitalize our roads and pathways. It lets us see responsible city investments in action right where communities are growing.

Edmonton is known for its incredible sports facilities, parks, and green spaces. These third-spaces are vital for keeping our communities healthy, active, and connected. Walking side-by-side with residents to highlight these local hubs is a fantastic way to bring people together, keep residents engaged, and ensure our public spaces  remain vibrant and full of life.
